Overview of Research Paper
Within
the three months given for us to search about our topic, I have
gathered sufficient amount of information that I myself had never
know about my topic. My topic “Procrastination”, is a very common
issue felt by most students. But since there are many obvious facts
on “Procrastination”. This term paper will focus on the reasons
why the negative effects observed on students were very evident
So
far, I've finished the first part of my research paper. The first
part was the abstract of my term paper wherein it basically talks
about my reaction to my term paper. With regards to the data that I
gathered, I've already searched about the misconceptions about
procrastination, What are the different unfavorable effects of
procrastination besides insufficient presence of academical
benefits(e.g. Lack of Sleep, Stress, disinterest in learning.),
purpose of procrastination, some reasons of procrastination and some
explanations why procrastination is sometimes essential on students
it's said purposes.
The
next part of my research process is the distribution of survey
questionnaires to my chosen respondents, mostly students. And to find
out more information to support my studies. Also, continue to search
about the data I've already gathered because there are still unclear
and unanswered parts in my term paper.

Survey Questions
My
survey will composed of five questions consisting of different types
of questions. There would be a multiple choice question, a yes and no
question, and rating items. The first question will be asking if
whether the students Procrastinate or not. This particular question
is important for it well tell if students will quickly do their work
or if they procrastinate first before they start to work. In this
question the respondents will just check the choices given on the
question.
Next,
is a multiple choice question on procrastination wherein it asks the
respondents on how long they procrastinate. In order to know the
results the respondents are to choose the given choices on the
question. The choices that will be given are an hour, more than an
hour, a night, and lastly a whole day. Knowing these factors will
help me to know how much time has been wasted because of
procrastination.
The
third question will ask the respondents on what do they do while they
are procrastinating. This is a multiple choice question. Now that the
second question is answered, this third question will somewhat
continue the flow. It is important to know what the respondents
usually do while they are procrastinating, whether is is necessary or
not. The given choices will be sleeping, surfing on the web, eating,
watching tv, and others. I have the added the choice others because
maybe some respondents prefer other things besides the given choices
on the question.
The
next question will be asking the respondents to rate the given
choices whether one must procrastinate or not. Such choices includes
homework’s, projects, chores, and lastly research papers. Then in
the end there is a blank space provided so that the respondents will
be able to make their statements. This will be important for me to
know the results because I will know whether the students are just
procrastinating or just lazy to do it.
And
the last question will ask the respondents whether is it necessary to
procrastinate or not. This question is a yes and no question. Also
included in the question is a portion asking why respondents chooses
their desired choice. In that portion the respondents are free to
express their thoughts and reasons why they should do it or not.

Prediction
With
my five question about procrastination and it's effect I'm expecting
a general answer from the respondents. For what I have been observing
also based on all my research, the procrastination negative points
will be outnumbered to the positive side of procrastination. I am
expecting the answers like it is too much, it is not necessary for it
is already experiencing by most students at school and at work. In
short I am expecting the same answers from what are from the studies
that I have researched about.
